Replacing these with stiffer SuperPro polyurethane bushings will cut down on differential movement, which actually makes your shifting more precise due to the way the Miata's drivetrain is mounted%(1).

This is a RX7 differential housing. This is a set of factory bushings. This is the diff housing that many folks swap to and is a direct fit in the Miata. As you can see the bushings are Fore and Afft from the bushdelimbing.clubg: Laurel MT.
